FAQ
India tours — frequently asked questions
Plan at least 7–10 days for a first trip to India. A week covers the Golden Triangle (Delhi, Agra, Jaipur); two weeks lets you add Rajasthan, Varanasi or Kerala; three weeks or more suits a north-and-south combination. We tailor the length to your interests and pace.
The Golden Triangle — Delhi, Agra and Jaipur — is the most popular India tour and the classic first journey, taking in the Taj Mahal, Amber Fort and Mughal Delhi in about six days. It also combines easily with Rajasthan, wildlife parks or the Ganges at Varanasi.
All of our India packages are private and tailor-made. You get your own car, driver and local guides, and we shape the hotels, pace and sightseeing around you — there are no fixed-departure group coach tours.
October to March is the best overall time to visit most of India, with cool, dry weather across the north, Rajasthan and central India. The Himalayas (Ladakh, Kashmir) are best from May to September, while the south and beaches are pleasant through the winter.
