It is the ideal first taste of the region for families and first-time travellers, moving by air-conditioned coach and short flights so you cover four very different cities without the hassle of planning a single connection yourself.
Tour overview
This is three countries in one unhurried loop. You begin in Singapore, where a Night Safari, a city tour and an afternoon on Sentosa Island set an easy pace, then cross into Malaysia by comfortable coach to spend two nights in Kuala Lumpur beneath the Petronas Twin Towers. A short flight carries you to Thailand, where the beach resort of Pattaya and the temple city of Bangkok round out the journey with coral islands, golden Buddhas and some of Asia's best shopping.

Day-by-day itinerary
10 daysOn arrival at Singapore's Changi Airport you are met and transferred to your hotel to check in and relax. In the evening you head out to the world-famous Night Safari, riding an open tram on a 40-minute journey past habitats that range from the Himalayan foothills to equatorial Africa, with live commentary as you spot lions, tigers, deer and other nocturnal species. The visit ends with the Creatures of the Night show, a 20-minute presentation of owls, binturongs and civets. Overnight in Singapore.

After breakfast a half-day city tour introduces the highlights of the garden city — Merlion Park with its iconic lion-fish statue, Suntec City and the Fountain of Wealth, the shopping boulevard of Orchard Road, and the colour of Little India and Chinatown. The morning is at leisure. In the afternoon you cross to Sentosa Island — Singapore's resort isle — on a one-way cable car, with admission to the S.E.A. Aquarium, the Merlion Tower and the Wings of Time light-and-sound show. It is a full afternoon of aquariums, greenery and coastal views before you return to your hotel. Overnight in Singapore.

After breakfast you transfer to the coach station for the scenic five-hour drive across the causeway into Malaysia. On arrival in Kuala Lumpur you are escorted to your hotel. The rest of the day is free to explore the Malaysian capital — a modern city of soaring towers and lively street markets layered over historic temples and mosques. Overnight in Kuala Lumpur.
A city tour takes in the confluence of the Gombak and Klang rivers that gave Kuala Lumpur its name ("muddy confluence"), the King's Palace, the National Monument and a drive past the Lake Gardens. You photo-stop at the National Mosque and the Moorish-style old railway station, then reach Independence Square and the Sultan Abdul Samad Building with its landmark clock tower. A photo stop at the Petronas Twin Towers completes the tour. The afternoon is free for shopping or Malaysia's famous multi-ethnic food. Overnight in Kuala Lumpur.

After an early breakfast and checkout you fly from Kuala Lumpur to Bangkok, where you are met and driven roughly two hours south-east to the beach resort of Pattaya, about 150 km from the capital. Check in and relax. The evening is free — you may unwind at the resort or opt for the famous Alcazar Show, a lavish cabaret in a 1,200-seat theatre known for its costumes, staging and light-and-sound spectacle. Overnight in Pattaya.
After breakfast you are collected from your hotel and taken by speedboat to Coral Island, also known as Koh Larn, ringed by soft white sand and clear water. It suits both those who want to laze on the beach and those after activity — optional jet-skiing, parasailing and undersea sea-walking can be arranged locally (these are not included and are paid on the spot if you wish to try them). You return to Pattaya for lunch at a popular Indian restaurant. Overnight in Pattaya.

After breakfast you drive back to Bangkok, Thailand's vibrant capital of temples, markets and nightlife. On arrival you check in and set out on a temple tour: Wat Traimit, the Temple of the Golden Buddha, whose 5.5-tonne solid-gold image is a masterpiece of Sukhothai art; and Wat Pho, home to the enormous Reclining Buddha, the oldest and largest such shrine in the city. A stop at a gems gallery gives a chance to shop for souvenirs. Overnight in Bangkok.

The day is free. Relax, shop the malls and markets, or take the optional excursion to Safari World and Marine Park — an open zoo divided into a drive-through safari, bird park and marine shows where you can see dolphins, orangutans, seals and exotic birds in a landscaped African setting. Overnight in Bangkok.
After breakfast and checkout you are transferred to Bangkok's international airport for your onward flight, taking home memories of Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand. Tour ends.

Around ten days is right for all three countries at a comfortable pace. This 9-night circuit gives three nights in Singapore, two in Kuala Lumpur, two in Pattaya and two in Bangkok — enough to see the headline sights of each without rushing.
You travel by a mix of coach and short flights. Singapore to Kuala Lumpur is a scenic five-hour coach ride across the causeway, then you fly from Kuala Lumpur to Bangkok and drive about two hours to Pattaya, returning to Bangkok by road. We arrange every leg and meet you at each arrival.
Yes, it is one of our most family-friendly international tours. The Night Safari, Sentosa Island, Coral Island and the optional Safari World and theme parks all appeal to children, and the driving and flying legs are short enough to keep younger travellers comfortable.
November to February is the best window, when the weather is at its driest and least humid across all three countries. The region is tropical year-round, so brief afternoon showers are possible in any month, but this cooler, drier season is the most comfortable for sightseeing and beaches.
